Wilkey's Field Car Park
Mac Plant were successful in winning the contract to undertake a new car park for Torridge District Council, being overseen by Devon County Council’s EDG at Westward Ho!
The car park has been constructed with an open all year parking area and a summer season area. Works started in mid April to ensure this scheme was completed in time for the summer season to commence.
Works included:
- Bulk excavations and disposal – Approx 7000 tonnes
- Drainage systems and headwalls
- 120 linear meters of dry stone hedge banks
- Post and rail fencing
- Kerbing and pavements
- Surfacing
- 3100m² Eco-grid surface with aggregate infill
- Road markings
- Electrical works
- Landscaping
With the weather on our side, works progressed well and our clients were delighted with the completed project.
I was really impressed with how the works have been completed and the quality all round. From the hedge banks, fencing, surfacing and grids each aspect is of the highest quality, and the finish is superb. I wanted to pass on my personal thanks on how well the site has turned out.
