Mac Plant were asked to undertake the sub-structure works as part of the new Fatherford Bridge scheme in Okehampton.

The purpose of the scheme was to prevent pedestrians having to dismount the existing footpath and walk on a busy main road over the road bridge which didn’t have any footways. The new foot / cycle bridge over the railway line spanned 28m and sat on two reinforced concrete abutments / bank seats.
