SKILLED OPERATIVE
MAC Plant are looking to recruit a Skilled Operative to join the civil engineering and surfacing division.

MAC Plant are looking to recruit a Skilled Operative to join the civil engineering and surfacing division.
The Job Role
As a skilled operative you will contribute to the profitability of the business through the provision of various tasks issued to you. As a skilled operative your duties will change on a regular basis and we will utilise your current qualifications and certifications, implementing them to best suit the needs of the company.
You will be contracted to 40 hours per week, however additional hours may be required to meet the demands of the business. A typical day will be 7:30am-5pm (onsite) but may need to change to meet the needs of the company. Following your first 30 minutes of travel from home, the remaining travel time to site is paid at your standard hourly rate, Night works and weekend works may be required and this will be paid at an agreed overtime rate.
Responsibilities of Job Role
- Take instructions from your site supervisor and undertake the tasks issued to you to the highest standard.
- Ensure you comply with all health, safety and welfare standards always.
- Ensure the company rules, policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with the specification of the works
- Please note that this list is not exhaustive, and you may be asked from time to time to perform duties outside of your normal job role, as far as reasonable

- Experience in the construction sector, specifically highways and structure schemes
- A valid CSCS card
- Streetworks Operative ticket – Advantageous
- CPCS Plant Operatives ticket – Advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
What we’ll do for you
- £32,000 – £39,000 per annum
