Mac Plant are looking to recruit a Traffic Management operative to join the traffic management division.

The Job Role

As our traffic management operative you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of various traffic management operations.

You will be contracted to 40 hours per week, however additional hours may be required to meet the demands of the business. A typical day will be from 7am-5pm but may need to change to meet the needs of the company. Night works and weekend works will be required, this will be paid at an agreed overtime rate.


Responsibilities of the Traffic Management operative

  • Ability to take instruction from the TMF/ LTMO or TSCO and other members of supervisory and management staff
  • Appropriately action in the event of an emergency, particularly ensuring the appropriate persons are notified and to report these incidents using the correct company procedure
  • Participating in an out of hour call out rota
  • Setting up and conducting maintenance on two, three and four way temporary traffic signals
  • Following TM plans to set out road closures and diversions
  • Ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with the specification of the works

  • Full UK driving licence

  • NRSWA Unit 02 Operative qualification
  • A valid CSCS card
  • A Lantra 12D M1-M5 qualification
