Mac Plant are looking to recruit a Sales and Customer service advisor to join the ready-mix concrete and aggregates division. The vacancy is available at our Bridgerule plant near Bude.

The Job Role

As a sales and customer service advisor, you will be responsible for taking all phone calls regarding concrete production and scheduling concrete deliveries using our IT based scheduling system. Additionally, you will be required to organise the daily schedules, working with the batcher to orchestrate the daily deliveries to match customer requirements. This involves looking at driver schedules and route navigation to ensure jobs are booked on in an appropriate and manageable manner.

You will be contracted to 50 hours per week with the working hours being 7am-5pm Monday-Friday.


Responsibilities of the Job Role

  • Dealing with customer enquiries via Phone/Email demonstrating first class customer service while delivering company values
  • Respond to the individual needs to each customer, identifying and clearly understanding the requirements of their enquiry
  • Advising customers on the correct information regarding our products
  • Prepare and follow up customer quotations
  • Ensure information and customer interactions are accurately recorded
  • Deal with customer complaints in a timely and effective manner
  • Operate a computer order entry and quotation system
  • Carry out pro-active sales work to promote our products
  • Schedule daily deliveries and assign drivers to jobs
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time by the Concrete Production Manager
